Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the Precision Rifle Timer app (hereby referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices, created by Clay’s Customs LLC (hereby referred to as “Service Provider”) as a Commercial service. This service is intended for use “AS IS”.
Summary
The Application is a fully local app. The Service Provider does not operate any servers, does not collect any personal information, does not track usage, does not display advertising, and does not include any third-party analytics or tracking software. All app settings remain on your iPhone and Apple Watch. The only data that ever leaves your device is information about subscription or purchase transactions, which is handled directly between Apple and your Apple ID — the Service Provider never sees your payment information.
Information Collection and Use
The Service Provider does not collect, transmit, store, or receive any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, or other contact information
- Your IP address
- Which features or screens of the Application you use
- Your device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or operating system version
- Your location (precise or approximate)
- Any data that could be used to identify you personally
The Application does access health and fitness data through Apple’s HealthKit framework on your behalf. That access is described in detail in the “Health and Fitness Data (HealthKit)” section below. In short: heart rate and workout data accessed through HealthKit stays on your device inside Apple’s secure Health database and is never transmitted to the Service Provider or to any third party.
The Application does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information.
The Application does not contain any third-party advertising, advertising identifiers, analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, or other software development kits that collect user data.
The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your data or provide features.
Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
The Application offers paid access through three plans:
- Premium Monthly — auto-renewable subscription billed monthly, with a 7-day free trial as an introductory offer for first-time subscribers.
- Premium Yearly — auto-renewable subscription billed yearly, with a 7-day free trial as an introductory offer for first-time subscribers.
- Lifetime Access — a one-time, non-renewing purchase that unlocks the Application permanently.
All payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. The Service Provider does not see, receive, or store your credit card information, billing address, or other payment details. Apple processes all transactions according to Apple’s own privacy policy, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
When a subscription or purchase is active, Apple notifies the Application that you are entitled to access. The Application stores your subscription status locally on your device. No subscription, purchase, or entitlement information is transmitted to the Service Provider’s servers (the Service Provider does not operate any servers).
Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. The Lifetime purchase is non-renewing and one-time only.
The 7-day free trial is governed by Apple’s introductory-offer eligibility rules: each Apple ID is eligible for one free trial per subscription group. If you do not cancel before the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to the paid plan you selected and you will be charged the applicable price. Canceling during the trial means no charge is made.
Health and Fitness Data (HealthKit)
The Application integrates with Apple’s HealthKit framework on Apple Watch to support precision rifle shooting as a timed sporting activity. With your permission, the Application uses HealthKit in two ways during a shooting session:
- Reading heart rate and active energy. While a session is active, the Application reads your current heart rate (in beats per minute) and your active energy / calories burned from Apple’s HealthKit framework. These readings are displayed on the Apple Watch timer screen so that you can see them at a glance during your session. The readings are processed in memory only — they are not copied into the Application’s own storage.
- Saving each session as a workout. When a session ends, the Application can save that session to Apple Health as a workout (activity type “Other”). The saved workout contains: the session’s start time, end time, and duration; the heart-rate samples taken during the session; and the active energy burned during the session. Saved sessions appear in the iPhone’s “Sessions” tab inside the Application and in Apple’s Health app. You can control whether sessions are saved using the “Save sessions to Health” toggle in the Application’s settings on the Apple Watch; turning it off prevents any workout from being written to Apple Health.
The Apple Watch’s HealthKit workout session also continues to serve the purpose of keeping the timer accurate and the spoken audio announcements audible when your wrist is lowered or the watch screen turns off — that’s a side benefit of using a workout session as the underlying mechanism.
With your permission, the Application will start a workout session via HealthKit while in use. You will be prompted by the operating system to grant access on first use, and you may revoke access at any time through the Health app under Sharing → Apps and Services, or through Settings → Privacy & Security → Health on your device.
How health and fitness data is handled by the Service Provider:
- All heart-rate readings, active-energy readings, and saved workouts remain inside Apple’s secure on-device Health database. They are not duplicated to any other storage on your device by the Application.
- No health or fitness data is transmitted off your device. Nothing is sent to the Service Provider’s servers (the Service Provider does not operate any servers), to third parties, or to any analytics or advertising service.
- The Service Provider does not see, receive, or possess any of your health or fitness data at any time.
- No health or fitness data is sold, shared for advertising or marketing, or used to identify you or to track you across apps or websites.
- The Application does not interpret health or fitness data for medical purposes and is not a medical device. Heart-rate and energy figures are displayed for informational use only and should not be used to make medical decisions.
If you uninstall the Application, any health-related permissions you granted are revoked automatically by the operating system. Saved workouts that already exist in your Apple Health database are not removed by uninstalling the Application — you can delete them yourself in the Health app if you wish.
Settings Sync Between iPhone and Apple Watch
If you install the Application on both your iPhone and a paired Apple Watch, app settings (timer durations, voice prompt preferences, quick-start presets, audio latency offset, etc.) are synchronized between the two devices using Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework. WatchConnectivity is a direct, encrypted peer-to-peer connection between your iPhone and your paired Apple Watch managed entirely by Apple’s operating systems. No settings data passes through any server, including the Service Provider’s servers (the Service Provider does not operate any servers) or Apple’s iCloud.
Bluetooth and Audio
The Application uses Bluetooth audio when you have paired Bluetooth headphones, AirPods, or hearing-protection headsets connected to your Apple Watch. The Bluetooth connection is managed entirely by Apple’s watchOS — the Application does not send, receive, or store any data about Bluetooth devices, audio routing, or audio content beyond playing the Application’s own timer announcements through the active output.
Children
The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children, and the Application is not directed at children under the age of 13. Because the Application does not collect any personal information from any user, it does not collect personal information from children either.
If you have reason to believe that a child has somehow provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider in connection with the Application, please contact the Service Provider at clayscustomsllc@gmail.com so that any necessary actions can be taken.
You must be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personally identifiable information in your country (in some countries a parent or legal guardian may consent on your behalf).
Third Parties
The only third parties involved in the Application are Apple, in their roles as:
- the App Store (which distributes the Application);
- StoreKit (which processes subscription and in-app purchase transactions);
- HealthKit (which provides on-device access to your heart-rate readings and stores any workouts that the Application saves at your request, on your Apple Watch and iPhone);
- WatchConnectivity (which synchronizes settings between your iPhone and your Apple Watch);
- AVFoundation (which provides the on-device speech synthesizer and audio session that the Application uses to speak timer announcements through your watch’s speaker or paired Bluetooth audio).
Apple’s handling of any data passing through these systems is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
The Service Provider does not share, sell, rent, or trade any user information, because the Service Provider does not collect any user information.
In the event the Service Provider is ever in possession of user-provided information (for example, an email you voluntarily send to the contact address below), the Service Provider may disclose that information only:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
- when the Service Provider believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all use of the Application by uninstalling it. Uninstalling automatically revokes any permissions you previously granted (HealthKit, Bluetooth, etc.) on iOS and watchOS.
You can revoke the Application’s access to HealthKit at any time, without uninstalling, through the Health app or your device’s Settings under Privacy & Security → Health.
You can manage or cancel any active subscription anytime in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Data Retention
Because the Service Provider does not collect or store any personal data, there is no centrally stored data to retain. Local data on your device (your timer settings, presets, and similar preferences) remains on your device until you uninstall the Application or reset its data through iOS Settings.
Security
The Application does not transmit personal data, so there is no in-transit security risk to your data caused by the Application.
Local settings data is stored using iOS and watchOS standard storage mechanisms (UserDefaults), which are sandboxed to the Application by the operating system and accessible only to the Application itself.
Health data accessed via HealthKit is stored within Apple’s secure on-device Health database and is not duplicated, exported, or transmitted by the Application.
Subscription and purchase entitlements are managed by Apple’s StoreKit framework, which uses Apple’s signed cryptographic verification to confirm the authenticity of purchase records.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
This Privacy Policy is effective as of 2026-05-11.
Your Consent
By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
